*RESPONSIBILITIES OF IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY*

● Working with and overseeing firm’s paralegal team and reviewing applications for United States family/humanitarian-based visas and providing sound assessments of eligibility for visas, adjustments of status and other benefits.

● Work with firm’s intake staff and provide in-person and telephonic consultations for new clients.

● Expertise and able to screen clients for adjustment of status, inadmissibility v. removability issues, family-based immigration, VAWA (spousal/parental abuse), waivers, asylum, cancellation of removal and U and T visas.

● Keeping abreast of changes in US immigration law and procedure and implementing changes into practice.

● Reporting to clients on pending matters and monitoring progress of cases to ensure timely visa issuance and admission to the US.

● Resolving issues of eligibility and inadmissibility with consular or immigration officials.

● Attend USCIS interviews, court hearings, and ICE check-ins.

**REQUIREMENTS FOR IMMIGRATION ATTORNEYS**

- 1-2 years of experience in representing clients before EOIR and USCIS

- 1-2 years of experience in legal research and writing, specifically, BIA Briefs, Motion to Reopen/Terminate, and Briefs before the US Court of Appeals

* Member of State Bar

* Bilingual (Spanish and English).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
