Job Summary:

The Import Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the import process, ensuring timely clearance of goods, compliance with customs regulations, and smooth coordination with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end import documentation and procedures.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers for shipment schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare and verify import documents such as Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, and insurance papers.
  • Liaise with customs clearing agents for timely customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Track shipments and update internal stakeholders on delivery status.
  • Calculate import duties, freight, and landing cost.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of import transactions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and finance teams for material receipt and payments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of import procedures and customs documentation.
  • Familiarity with HS codes, INCOTERMS, and duty structures.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain Management or related field.

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in import operations.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in coordinating with CHA and freight forwarders.
  • Knowledge of import licensing and compliance procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
