Import Executive (Chemical Industry)

Location: Mumbai Experience: 1–2 Years (Chemical Industry experience mandatory)

We are looking for a high-energy Import Executive to own our end-to-end import lifecycle. You won’t just be tracking shipments; you will be a key driver of profitability by identifying market opportunities, negotiating aggressively with suppliers and CHAs, and translating marketing trends into actionable import decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Rate Negotiation: Proactively check and negotiate rates with indentors and manufacturers. You must be able to benchmark these against current market rates to ensure we are buying at the most competitive prices.
• End-to-End Ownership: Manage the entire process from the moment an inquiry is placed until the material is safely stored in our warehouse.
• Logistics & CHA Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Custom House Agents (CHAs). You will manage documentation, handle troubleshooting, and negotiate clearing/freight costs to minimize lead times and expenses.
• Market-Driven Procurement: Work closely with the marketing team to understand emerging trends. You will be responsible for turning their feedback into rapid inquiries and quotes.
• Opportunity Identification: Constantly "wrangle" negotiations to spot high-margin import opportunities that align with market demand.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 years in an import role specifically within the Chemical Industry.
• Communication: Ability to discuss and understand market trends from the Marketing team and translate the findings into inquiries, quotes, and eventual imports.
• Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate with international manufacturers and local service providers. You should be comfortable "pushing back" to get the best deal.
• Speed & Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where market prices fluctuate daily.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HS Codes, Incoterms, Import Duties, and chemical-specific compliance/licensing.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to compare complex quotes and calculate "landed costs" accurately to determine profitability.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
