1. Import & Export Operations
- Coordinate end-to-end import and export activities, including booking shipments, arranging transportation, and monitoring cargo movement.
- Ensure timely customs clearance for all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Track and manage shipping schedules, delivery timelines, and freight costs.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, B/L, COO, Form E, Form D, LC documents, and insurance forms.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, Incoterms, and company policies.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies for smooth documentation and approvals.
3. Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate with overseas suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners regarding shipment details, order status, and delivery updates.
- Negotiate freight rates and evaluate logistics service providers for quality and cost efficiency.
- Resolve issues related to shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies.
4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on stock movement, receiving, storage, and dispatch planning.
- Ensure real-time inventory accuracy by providing timely shipment updates.
5. Financial & Cost Control
- Verify freight invoices, customs duty payments, and other logistics charges.
- Monitor shipping costs and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Support LC (Letter of Credit) documentation and coordinate with finance for payment processes.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on shipment status, costs, lead times, and logistics performance.
- Assist in audits and internal reviews related to supply chain and trade compliance.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or supply chain.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, trade documentation, and Incoterms.
Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of shipping procedures and freight management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and shipment tracking tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
