Job Title: Import Logistics Officer (Sea Freight)

Location: Karachi
Experience Required: 6–10 Years
Age Bracket: 28–40 Years

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Import Logistics Officer to manage end-to-end sea import operations. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in shipping documentation, port coordination, clearing processes, and container management within a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage complete sea import operations from shipment booking to final delivery.

· Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.

· Handle documentation including Bill of Lading, LC documents, Form E, GD, and related import paperwork.

· Monitor vessel schedules and ensure timely clearance of shipments.

· Manage demurrage and detention to minimize cost impact.

· Liaise with ports including Karachi Port and Port Qasim.

· Maintain accurate shipment tracking and reporting in ERP systems.

· Prepare import cost analysis and logistics reports using MS Excel.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory and customs requirements.

· Resolve shipment discrepancies and operational issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of sea freight import procedures.

· Hands-on experience with customs clearance documentation.

· Working knowledge of LC documentation and banking coordination.

· Experience in dealing with shipping lines and port authorities.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory).

· ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent preferred).

· Excellent coordination and communication skills.

· Exposure to handling multiple containers monthly.

· Ability to independently manage shipment lifecycle.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field.
