Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee end-to-end import operations (Air & Sea).
- Ensure timely customs clearance, documentation accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, CHAs, CFS/ICD, and internal teams for smooth cargo movement.
- Monitor shipment tracking, delays, and exceptions; provide proactive updates to clients.
- Review and validate import documentation: MBL/HBL, AWB/HAWB, Invoice, Packing List, COO, BOE, etc.
- Handle CFS operations, container de-stuffing, delivery orders, and cargo release processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, overseas agents, and clients.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and service-level standards.
- Lead, guide, and train the import operations team.
- Manage escalations and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the finance team for billing, cost sheets, vendor invoices, and timely closure.
- Prepare periodic operations reports, performance metrics, and client-specific MIS.
- Ensure all import activities comply with DGFT, Customs, GST, and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in import operations within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, HS codes, and international trade terms (Incoterms).
- Hands-on experience with CHA coordination, CFS operations, and carrier dealings.
- Proficiency in MBL/HBL, AWB/HAWB, and other import documentation.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve operational challenges.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and coordination skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
