Imports Officer

Job Summary:
The Imports Officer will manage end-to-end import operations, including L/C handling, financial instrument processing, documentation, and coordination with banks and suppliers. The role requires strong attention to detail, regulatory compliance, and accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • L/C Management:
  • Prepare and submit L/C applications, review POs and Proforma Invoices, coordinate with banks and suppliers, handle amendments, and maintain complete L/C documentation and status reporting.
  • Financial Instruments (F/I):

Prepare and manage EIFs, organize required data for F/I establishment, and maintain accurate tracking records using Excel/internal systems.

  • Import Documentation & Coordination:

Track shipment documents, coordinate with banks for clearance, arrange document collection, ensure compliance with customs requirements, and maintain organized import records and correspondence.Ensure adherence to import regulations and company policies, verify HS codes, maintain updated records of shipments/orders, and prepare reports for management.

  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA or B.Com
  • 0–1 year of experience in import operations (fresh candidates may apply)
  • Basic knowledge of import documentation, L/C processes, and banking coordination
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and strong organizational skills
