In-Process Inspector (2nd Shift)

A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Santa Ana, California is seeking an In-Process Inspector to support production quality within a printed circuit board manufacturing environment.

This role performs inspection of PCB panels throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. The position works closely with production and quality teams to identify defects and maintain product integrity for mission-critical applications.

Note:
This role is for 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM). Initial training will occur on 1st shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and mechanical in-process inspection of PCB panels during various stages of manufacturing
  • Verify lot numbers, panel quantities, and traveler documentation before inspection
  • Confirm previous operations were completed and properly documented
  • Inspect holes, thickness, markings, conductive patterns, and surface conditions using inspection equipment
  • Identify defects or deviations from quality standards and specifications
  • Stamp, sign, and date travelers to document completed inspections
  • Scan jobs in and out of the MRP system as required
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
  • Support production teams in maintaining consistent product quality
  • Follow all quality, safety, and operating procedures

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, travelers, blueprints, and technical documentation in English
  • Experience performing in-process inspection of bare PCB boards
  • Ability to identify PCB defects throughout manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with IPC-6012, IPC-6013, and military specifications such as MIL-STD-P-55110, P-50884, and P-31032
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-precision manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to work overtime when production requires it

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of in-process inspection experience in PCB manufacturing required

Schedule
Monday – Friday
Training Schedule:
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1st Shift)
Regular Schedule:
4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (2nd Shift)
Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required.

Compensation
$18 – $22 per hour
Compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
