JOB PURPOSE:
The role supports the Strategy Department in implementing the right research and operational strategy by supporting on a number of different initiatives. The position with also ensure the database on incentives is up to date and research is delivered effectively with a high quality to the management team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Applies the right research methodology to strategy project work and drafts initial reports.

Provides sufficient information about the incentive programs based on the investors’ inquiries and project requirements.

Supports in developing and maintaining a database containing all incentivized investment programs in Qatar.

Supports in coordination of the research on global business expansion, incentives trends, costs/benefits of incentive programs and applies up to date models on incentive cost/benefit calculations where appropriate

Provides timely and accurate research to support a range of strategic projects.

Ensures the database on incentives is up to date through maintaining all relevant information received from investors and stakeholders in the database on a due time.

Analyses foreign direct investment and incentive management opportunities and prepares presentation for the use of management.

Assists in determining which business requirements should be enhanced and how these requirements are linked into the investors’ expectations and their current requirements.

Handles the administration process ensuring that all proper and necessary documentation regarding the incentive management is delivered to the investors.

Keeps abreast with global knowledge and best practices in the field of foreign direct investment and incentive management across the globe.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in international business, economics, management, marketing or business administration.

Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject area

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in an international business environment

Experience in roles of working for incentive programs.

Good understanding of challenges of international business when operating in emerging markets as well as investment attraction, PR, marketing and/or research on FDI, trade and international business and economics

Some sector experience of key priority sectors in Qatar/GCC and globally

Collaborative approach to working together in a team and across department s

Expertise in the use of tools to analyse economic data and industry related information to understand economic impact of investment

Good communication skills in written and speaking

Fluent in English, strong Arabic is a plus, and other major business languages will be useful
