Job Summary

Responsible for assisting in monitoring, analyzing, and controlling the costs related to food and beverage operations. Ensures that cost standards are maintained and that all F&B outlets operate efficiently while maintaining quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Track daily food and beverage costs across all outlets and compare them against budgets and forecasts.

2. Assist in preparing and updating recipe costing sheets, ensuring correct standard recipes and portion controls

3. Monitor wastage, breakage, and spoilage, and prepare related reports for management review.

4. Coordinate with the Cost Controller to analyze cost variances and suggest corrective actions.

5. Verify that all purchase requests, transfers, and consumption reports are properly documented and authorized.

6. Assist in conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts in coordination with the storekeepers and outlet managers.

7. Reconcile inventory records between the store, kitchen, and finance departments.

8. Review and verify inventory adjustments, ensuring accuracy and justification for any discrepancies.

9. Monitor par stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations to management.

10. Maintain accurate records of all cost-related transactions in the ERP/accounting system.

11. Generate daily and weekly cost reports for management review.

12. Support the preparation of the monthly cost of sales report and assist with profit and loss analysis.

13. Compile information for menu engineering and pricing analysis based on item performance and profitability.

14. Work closely with Purchasing, Receiving, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing goods.

15. Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams to validate portion sizes, recipe accuracy, and yield calculations.

16. Communicate cost trends, variances, and insights to the Cost Controller and management team.

17. Ensure all cost-related procedures are in line with company policy and accounting standards.

18. Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure secure handling of reports and records.

19. Participate in internal and external audits by providing required cost data and documentation.

20. Contribute to the development of improved cost control procedures and systems.

21. Performs other duties assigned.

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

· Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cost Controller in the F&B industry.

· Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).

· Understanding of food costing, recipe management, and inventory control systems.

· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From QAR4,000.00 per month
