Our Indiana Tool and Die Team is seeking a Purchasing Agent / Administrative Specialist to join our team. This position is critical to the success of our ITD division. The Associate has the responsibility to place and manage orders on a daily basis. The Associate works very closely with Receiving, Returns, and Quality areas to ensure we have the right part at the right place at the right time. The Associate will also have the opportunity to seek, establish, and maintain supplier relationships, strive for the best quality at the lowest total cost, fully understand & respond to weaknesses in our supply chain. The Associate will be the primary contact with vendor for all division needs, potential sourcing of new parts/products and all things vendor related to establish Mutual Trust and Mutual Respect with suppliers.
In this fast paced and ever-changing environment, taking initiative, strong math skills, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they happen are essential to succeed in this position. The candidate must work well with a team of people who are committed to continuous improvement while ensuring the success of our organization.

What you'll do:
  • Data and record keeping: Associate is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining accurate financial or other records in computer systems or databases.
  • Financial Tasks: Assist with basic bookkeeping, invoicing, and collection.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain physical and digital filing systems for the division.
  • Office management: Order and maintain inventory, manage office equipment, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Customer service: Associate may handle customer inquiries, process orders, resolve complaints, and serve as the “face” of the division.
What we are looking for:
  • Excellent math, organization, and time management
  • Experience in or solid understanding of manufacturing, materials and/or receiving functions desired
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Good customer service and phone etiquette
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred
