Job Summary:
The Indoor Salesman is responsible for assisting walk-in customers, promoting disposable and food-packaging products, handling billing, managing stock displays, and ensuring smooth daily operations inside the retail shop. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Service & Sales
- Welcome and assist customers in selecting disposable and food-packaging items.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Promote new arrivals, offers, and bundle deals.
- Achieve daily and monthly sales targets assigned by the management.
- Handle customer complaints politely and professionally.
2. Billing & Cash Handling
- Prepare invoices using the POS system or manual billing.
- Process cash, card, or online payments accurately.
- Maintain a proper record of daily cash collections.
- Submit daily sales and cash reports to the supervisor or accounts team.
3. Stock Management & Product Display
- Arrange products neatly on shelves according to category and brand.
- Ensure all products have correct price labels.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or fast-moving items to the supervisor.
- Assist with receiving and checking incoming stock from the warehouse.
- Maintain proper storage and rotation of disposable items.
4. Shop Maintenance
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Ensure proper hygiene, especially for food-packaging products.
- Report any equipment or maintenance issues immediately.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Prepare daily sales reports and customer feedback updates.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for stock replenishment.
- Share market insights, customer demands, and competitor information with management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in retail sales (preferably disposable goods or FMCG).
- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Knowledge of disposable items and food-packaging products is an advantage.
- Basic computer or POS system skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Good organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
