Industrial Electrician

Bankhead Electrical Services, together with our specialist control systems division Bankhead Control Systems, delivers high-quality electrical installation, hazardous area (ATEX) works, and bespoke electrical control systems for industrial and hazardous area clients across the UK.

We are committed to working safely, delivering quality, and developing our team to meet the demands of a growing and varied workload.

Following the award of multiple contracts across Scotland, we are looking to grow our team and are recruiting an experienced Industrial Electrician to join us.

About the role

This is a hands-on, site-based role working across a range of industrial and commercial clients in Aberdeenshire and beyond. You will work alongside our experienced team of electricians and technicians, taking responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding activities. You will be expected to work effectively on your own initiative and as part of a team on larger projects

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Electrical installation and commissioning on industrial sites

* Fault finding, testing, and inspection of electrical systems

* Ensuring compliance with current regulations and safe systems of work

* Reading and working from electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications

* Supporting hazardous area (ATEX) works where required

Opportunities will also be available to gain exposure to electrical control panel manufacture through our Bankhead Control Systems division, broadening your skillset beyond typical site-based work.

What we're looking for

* SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised qualification

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate

* Current and valid ECS/CSCS Gold card

* Minimum 5 years of post-apprenticeship industrial installation experience (MCCs / Switchboards / LV Transformers etc.)

* Full and clean UK driving licence

Eligibility

* Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be based within Aberdeen/shire.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £17.50-£21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
