Industrial Engineer – Job Details

An Industrial Engineer is responsible for improving processes, reducing costs, increasing productivity, and ensuring efficient use of resources such as people, materials, equipment, and time. Industrial engineers work in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, supply chain, construction, and service industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze production and business processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and eliminate waste.
  • Design and improve workflows and operational systems.
  • Conduct time and motion studies.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
  • Improve quality control and productivity.
  • Optimize inventory, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Prepare reports, cost analyses, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with management, production teams, and suppliers.
  • Ensure workplace safety and process compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and production systems.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, CAD software, or data analysis tools.
