Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor work practices daily on a field project and advise superiors of observed or anticipated labor problems. You will support staffing plans, wage trend studies, and the development and presentation of craft training and orientation programs. Your work will contribute to positive workplace relationships by facilitating communication and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs research and develops statistical information and studies on issues such as productivity, labor union or construction industry trends and practices
• Prepares staffing forecasts
• Maintains associated reference lists and files
• Ensures that LR/IR/WFS activities conform to company and site policies/procedures follows labor contract negotiation proceedings and disseminates information on progress (LR)
• Monitors work practices daily on a field project and advises superior of observed and/or anticipated labor problems
• Recommends actions to resolve these issues to avoid work stoppages and construction schedule delays
• Works with local & regional building trades representatives on process improvement initiatives (LR) and implements them at the jobsite level
• Interfaces with craft workforce, construction leadership, client, and the general public
• Produces various written project and LR/IR/WFS communications
• Supports investigations regarding employee misconduct according to the work rules

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Mathematics and statistics
• Data handling and prepropressing
• Data visialization
• Technical writing - Not used explicitly, but proves the ability to present topics in an organized manner
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Power BI

Key Factors:

• Proven technical communication ability, ability to "speak the language of data" for collaborative purposes
• Demonstrated organizational ability and capability to manage complex integrated systems
• Problem solving ability - I'd expect to see a demonstrated ability to approach problem solving in an organized way
