Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant InfantTeacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way. As a early educator you will work closely with parents, caregivers, and other educators to ensure each child's needs are met. 2 Shift available from 7-4:30 Monday-Friday & 9:30-6:30 Monday-Friday.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Diaper changing and able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respect among students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including social skills, language, and motor skills.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide individual attention to infant/ children.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom through adherence to first aid protocols and childcare best practices.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive teaching strategy that aligns with our educational philosophy.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience working with infant children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with childhood development theories and practices.
- Experience in classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- Skills in caregiving, including infant care, toddler care, and special education experience are advantageous.
- Previous roles in early childcare field is beneficial for understanding child behavior and needs.
