Infant Assistant Teacher

Position Summary

The Infant Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months. This role helps promote each child's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development while maintaining a clean, organized classroom and building positive relationships with families.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities.
• Provide attentive, responsive care that meets each infant's individual needs.
• Feed, diaper, and assist with toileting according to established schedules and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor infants closely to ensure their safety, health, and well-being at all times.
• Comfort and soothe children while fostering secure, trusting relationships.
• Support developmental milestones through play, music, reading, tummy time, sensory experiences, and interactive learning.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom environment.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate concerns to the Lead Teacher.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain classroom routines and schedules.
• Build respectful, professional relationships with families and provide daily updates on each child's care and activities.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
• Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with infants or young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
