Infant Assistant Teacher

Duties

• Assist in implementing daily routines that promote infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and comforting to ensure infants feel secure and loved
• Support classroom activities that stimulate sensory exploration, language development, and motor skills
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document each infant’s progress and milestones
• Engage with children through play-based learning, fostering social interaction and positive behavior management
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, needs, and developmental progress

Requirements

• Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a flexible, energetic attitude
• Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
