Infant Teacher Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Infant Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood team, working primarily with children ages 6 wks - 1 year old. This position provides crucial support across multiple classrooms and helps ensure consistent, quality care throughout our program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and routines that promote infant development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains
• Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants according to individual schedules and needs
• Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and sensory development
• Observe and document developmental milestones and daily activities for each child
• Build trusting relationships with infants and maintain open communication with families about their child's day
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene protocols
• Collaborate with the teaching team to prepare materials and maintain classroom organization
• Support smooth transitions during arrival, departure, and throughout the daily schedule

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with infants required
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Commitment to Christian values and mission
• Background check clearance required
• Patience, flexibility, and genuine love for working with infants
• Physical ability to lift and carry infants, sit on the floor, and perform routine care tasks

• Must be able to work 7 am-4 pm or 8:30-5:30 M-F
