Infant Teacher-Lead

Creative Play Preschool is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to oversee our infant classroom and support our youngest learners during their most important developmental stage. This role is ideal for an educator who understands infant development, values responsive caregiving, and finds joy in supporting early milestones through intentional play and connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily care and learning experiences for infants
  • Create a predictable, nurturing classroom environment that supports infant development
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, early communication, and social-emotional growth
  • Observe and support developmental milestones while meeting individual infant needs
  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with families through consistent communication
  • Work collaboratively with classroom staff to maintain high-quality care and compliance standards

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with infants or very young children
  • North Carolina Lead Teacher Credential preferred
  • Valid Background Check Qualification Letter required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of play-based and child-centered learning
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm classroom atmosphere
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and share ideas

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
