Information Technology Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide effective supervision and management of the audit assignment to ensure integrity of the audit process and methodology.

• Accountable for effective coverage of all of key business, financial and operational risks in areas under audit.

• Understanding new areas that the bank is developing and development of auditing practices to adequately manage risk in these areas. Interaction with NBKE management to assist them in understanding and managing their risk exposure.

• Reviews notification letter & entrance meeting agenda

• Review audit planning memo.

• Attend all pre-audit meetings & closing meetings with Business/Operational unit heads.

• Carries out regular on-site supervision of audit staff during progress of audit.

• Provides technical guidance, supervision and training to audit staff.

• Review & update control assessments in accordance with IAD requirements

• Review & update audit programs.

• Reviews all audit work and ensures documentation of audit evidence, exceptions and conclusions.

• Responsible for ensuring audit is carried out in accordance with IAD standards and requirements.

• Co-ordinates with IT Audit and assists them through feedback and identification of IT controls for testing

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Audit Head.

• Ensures that audit opinion on any matter is not provided to auditees without reference to CIA.

• Prepares/reviews audit reports in accordance with IAD requirements and submits these to the Audit Head for review and issuance.

• Supervises and executes internal (non-IT) investigations under the supervision of CIA.

Qualifications:

• University Degree (Business Related).
• 7-12 years of experience in in Accounting or Audit in a Banking environment.
• Minimum 2 years of comprehensive managerial experience in auditing banks and similar financial services organizations.
• Professional audit/accountancy qualification (CIA, CISA, MBA, ACA, CPA) with extensive experience of banking activities.
