The Role:
As the
Head of Internal Audit
, you will report directly to the CEO and Audit Committee, serving as the trusted advisor on risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. This role is critical in providing independent assurance, safeguarding organizational integrity, and ensuring continuous improvement. The key responsibilities would revolve around:

Developing and executing a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with organizational priorities.

Leading, mentoring, and developing the internal audit team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance.

Reporting audit findings and recommendations to the Audit Committee and senior management.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Conducting investigations into suspected fraudulent activities with professionalism and discretion.

Collaborating with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the internal audit function and staying abreast of best practices.
The Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is mandatory.

At least 10 years of progressive internal/external audit experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, regulatory frameworks, and governance practices.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

High ethical standards, integrity, and a proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
