Job Exposure and Experiences:

  • Experience and learn about the different roles and responsibilities within the IT field.
  • Actively participate as a member of the IT client services team, which is responsible for the deployment, management, support, and testing of end-user computing systems.
  • Work with other team members to create and recommend new methods of promoting products and services, and marketing material.
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others you come into contact with through your job.
  • Provide remote and limited on-site technical IT support to client sites across the country as required.
  • Support corporate PC’s, related hardware/peripherals, and videoconferencing systems as assigned.
  • Support client software and software installations.
  • Work within PC deployment framework and toolset to manage incidents, problems, requests, changes, assets, and knowledge articles.
  • Support Helpdesk activities where possible.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of business-driven and internal IT projects.
  • Assist to identify, research, and recommend IT process improvements or new technologies that increase efficiency and benefit the business.
  • Rapidly respond to emergency situations, including direct response as well as coordination and communication of progress updates with IT staff, vendors, and business partners, both during and outside of normal business hours.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Potential for full-time hire following completion of internship if applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-year technology related experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to work with a wide variety of people
  • Working toward an associate or bachelor's degree in a technology field, or comparable experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for 10 feet safely.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of working time in market.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation.
  • Able to work legally in this country.
  • Ability to train in-person at downtown Portland office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information/computer technology, business systems, or a related technical field
  • Any of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ certification, Microsoft, MCP, MTA, MSCA or MCSA or MCSE certification, ITIL Foundation
