The Infrastructure Architect is a senior leader within the Enterprise Architecture function, responsible for defining and driving the organization’s infrastructure strategy across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This role ensures scalable, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure platforms that align with business objectives and support digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities

Define and maintain the
enterprise infrastructure target state
, including architecture principles, standards, patterns, and reference models.

Design and evolve infrastructure across
compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms
.

Lead
infrastructure modernization initiatives
, including cloud adoption, hybrid architectures, and container platforms.

Establish and enforce
architecture standards and guardrails
to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with application, data, and platform teams to ensure
seamless integration of infrastructure services

Evaluate and select infrastructure technologies, vendors, and platforms aligned with enterprise strategy.

Drive
capacity planning, performance optimization, and high availability design

Develop and oversee
disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
.

Define and implement
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Maintain architecture documentation including
reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps

Ensure infrastructure compliance with
regulatory, data residency, and operational requirements

Provide
technical leadership and mentorship
to engineering and operations teams.

Stay current with
emerging technologies and industry trends
to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

15+ years in infrastructure engineering/operations, with 5–7 years in architecture roles.

Strong expertise in:

Compute platforms (Unix/AIX, Linux/RHEL)

Networking (Cisco), storage (Dell EMC, Pure Storage), backup (Data Domain)

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI)

Virtualization and container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)

Experience with
DevOps and platform engineering practices

Hands-on experience with
automation, orchestration, and IaC tools

Strong understanding of
enterprise architecture frameworks
(e.g., TOGAF – preferred).

Proven ability to lead
large-scale infrastructure transformation projects

Certifications such as
AWS/Azure Architect, CCNP/CCIE
are a plus.
Familiarity with
