Infrastructure Specialist – (Grade D | 5–7 Years Experience)
The Modern Workplace Platform aims to elevate colleague experience by integrating advanced technologies, driving automation, and delivering exceptional IT support and change solutions across Lloyds Banking Group.
Role Overview
As an Infrastructure Specialist within the Modern Workplace Technology function in Hyderabad, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Application Packaging, Automation, and Toolset Development within the Devices Lab. You will play a key role in supporting colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group, building strong cross‑platform relationships, and taking full ownership of issues from identification through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Package both third‑party and in‑house applications according to stakeholder requirements, enabling silent and/or interactive deployment to more than 100,000 devices.
- Identify and implement continuous service and process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and deployment success.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and internal toolset development from both a technical and design standpoint.
- Lead technical reviews of application packages, ensuring high quality and compliance with security standards.
- Support all delivery elements of small‑scale projects including planning, troubleshooting, and implementation across diverse business applications.
- Provide 3rd Line Technical Support for Windows and Mac application and OS issues, including collaboration with internal teams to perform deep‑dive investigations.
- Maintain strong stakeholder, customer, and vendor engagement throughout the application lifecycle.
- Offer technical leadership and guidance to colleagues and contractors in Windows/Mac OS management and application delivery.
Technical Skills & Experience (Minimum 3 Years)
Core Expertise
- Microsoft Intune: Management of configuration policies, remediation scripts, application deployments, ESP, and device administration.
- Application Packaging: MSI/MSIX creation and modification using Advanced Installer, InstallShield, Microsoft MSIX Packaging Tool, Orca.
- Packaging and deploying applications on Windows OS using MSI, MSIX, App-V, EXEs, PowerShell, and Intune.
- Complex Break-Fix Support for Windows software issues involving cross‑team collaboration.
- Active Directory: Creation and modification of security groups.
- Scripting: Ability to create PowerShell scripts from scratch; experience with C# and API integrations (e.g., MS Graph) is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
- Designing and implementing automation workflows and processes.
- Break‑fix troubleshooting for Mac OS.
- Mac application packaging/deployment using JAMF.
- Nexthink for monitoring, analytics, and issue investigation.
- ServiceNow for incident and change management.
- JIRA for resource management and work tracking.
- GitHub for version control, collaboration, and code governance.
