Role Overview

The Infrastructure & Systems Support Engineer is responsible for design support, deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of IT infrastructure and integrated systems.

This role spans across:

- Networking and infrastructure systems

- Server and storage environments

- Physical security and integrated systems

The role works closely with delivery, sales, and service teams to ensure solutions are implemented and supported to high technical and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design Support & Configuration

- Support design and configuration of:

- Network infrastructure (switches, routing, firewalls)

- Server and storage systems

- Integrated systems including security platforms

- Ensure solutions align with client requirements and best practices

2. Infrastructure Deployment

- Install and configure:

- Network devices (L2/L3 switches, routers)

- Servers (Windows/Linux environments)

- Storage systems

- Support implementation of integrated solutions across projects

3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

- Provide on-site and remote technical support

- Troubleshoot issues across:

- Network infrastructure

- Server environments

- Integrated systems (hardware/software)

- Ensure minimal downtime and timely resolution

4. Site Assessments & Surveys

- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments

- Gather requirements and evaluate site conditions

- Provide input for solution design and deployment planning

5. Networking & Systems Administration

- Configure and troubleshoot:

- Layer 2 / Layer 3 network environments

- VLANs, routing, switching

- Manage and troubleshoot:

- Windows Server environments

- Basic virtualization / clustering setups

6. Coordination with Delivery & Vendors

- Work closely with:

- Service Delivery Manager

- Supply chain and vendors

- Ensure timely and accurate execution of deployments

7. Documentation & Standards

- Maintain technical documentation

- Record configurations, issues, and resolutions

- Follow standard operating procedures and best practices

8. Continuous Learning & Improvement

- Stay updated on:

- Networking technologies

- Infrastructure systems

- Emerging enterprise solutions

- Support transition toward advanced domains (cloud, security, automation)

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

- 2–5 years in infrastructure, networking, or system support roles

- Experience in system integration or project-based environments preferred

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of:

- Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)

- L2 / L3 switch configuration

- Experience with:

- Windows Server environments

- Basic server and storage setup

- Exposure to:

- Physical security systems (access control, CCTV) is a plus

Preferred Skills

- Experience with firewalls and network security

- Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)

- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments
