Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Moulding Mould Maintenance Technician to perform routine and corrective maintenance of injection moulding tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all moulds are maintained in optimal working condition to support uninterrupted production. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a deep understanding of mould structures, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on injection moulds based on defined schedules.
- Must be good knowledge about fully hot runner cap and closers mold upto 96 cavity
- Troubleshoot and repair mould issues, such as wear, damage, misalignment, or cooling problems.
- Disassemble, clean, polish, and reassemble mould components to restore functionality.
- Inspect mould components (core, cavity, ejector pins, sliders, etc.) for signs of damage or wear and take corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs, part replacements, and work completed.
- Work closely with production and tool room teams during mould trials and changeovers.
- Coordinate with machining or welding teams for refurbishment or modification work as needed.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of all moulds when not in use.
- Follow 5S and safety standards in the workshop at all times.
- Suggest improvements in mould design or maintenance practices to reduce downtime and improve tool life.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum [2–3] years of hands-on experience in injection moulding tool maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mould components, injection moulding processes, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mould assembly diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic machining equipment.
- understanding of hot runner systems must.
