Salary: Starting from AED 2,500 per month

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Elevator Inspection Engineer to join our team in Dubai. This role is responsible for carrying out independent inspections, testing, and certification of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local and international safety standards, identify risks, and prepare accurate inspection reports and certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct third-party inspections and testing of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and moving walkways.
  • Verify compliance with international and local safety codes (EN 81 series, ASME A17.1, ISO standards, Dubai Municipality regulations).
  • Inspect and evaluate elevator components, including hoist machines, safety gears, buffers, guide rails, controllers, and emergency brakes.
  • Review technical drawings, test protocols, and manufacturer documentation to ensure conformity.
  • Perform load tests, functional tests, and emergency system checks.
  • Document non-compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and verify rectifications.
  • Prepare and issue inspection reports, non-conformance notices, and certificates of conformity.
  • Collaborate with facility managers, maintenance contractors, and OEM representatives during inspections.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and certification logs.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analyses for elevator-related failures.
  • Stay current with evolving safety codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in elevator inspection, testing, or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with major elevator brands (Otis, Schindler, KONE, Mitsubishi, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience with third-party certification processes is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator systems and their safety requirements.
  • Understanding of global elevator codes (EN 81, ASME A17.1, ISO 22559).
  • Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and assess compliance.
  • Skilled in preparing technical inspection reports and certification documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
