The role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Assistant/Inspector Civil to join our team for an exciting Hydropower project. If you have experience in field inspections and are passionate about ensuring quality and safety in construction, we encourage you to apply. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and be a part of an important project in the hydropower sector.


  • Conduct regular safety checks and identify potential risks, reporting them to the Site Engineer or Project Manager for action.
  • Support the team in verifying material quality and quantity delivered to the site, ensuring compliance with approved specifications.
  • Provide support in conducting technical assessments and tests as required to ensure structural integrity and project efficiency.
  • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure all necessary inspections and approvals are obtained.
  • Assist in daily on-site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.


With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.


Suitable applicants will have/be:


  • Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 05 years of experience in fieldwork, preferably on hydropower or infrastructure projects.
  • Sound communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Good knowledge of construction practices, materials, and safety regulations
