WSP is currently initiating search for an Inspector/Superintendent to support the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (MTA) Small Business Mentoring Program (SBMP) in the New York Metro Area.
The program operates under the umbrella of the MTA’s Small Business Development Program (SBDP), which is dedicated to advancing the capabilities of emerging and experienced construction contractors through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and technical guidance in prime contracts with MTA agencies. By supporting and mentoring small businesses, this position plays a pivotal role in cultivating successful enterprises, broadening the pool of competitive, qualified contractors, and fostering economic growth, particularly within disadvantaged communities. The Small Business Mentoring Projects span the New York metropolitan area, serving all MTA agencies—including New York City Transit, MTA Bus Company, Bridges and Tunnels, Long Island Rail Road, and Metro-North Railroad—with typical contract values ranging from $1 million to $5 million.
This position will oversee construction work performed by small business contractors and mentor the small business contractors on how to perform the tasks necessary to successfully complete MTA projects. This role covers construction sites throughout all five boroughs of New York City . As the program develops, future construction sites may include areas beyond New York City. Traveling will be required to work sites. The Inspector/Superintendent will join WSP USA’s Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) Team, a globally recognized professional services consulting firm specializing in transportation and infrastructure projects.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $90,000 - $135,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
