Job Overview
The Institutional Client Advisor is responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing relationships with institutional investors including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial institutions, family offices, and corporates. This role is instrumental in expanding the firm’s institutional asset management client base and in delivering tailored investment solutions that meet the evolving needs of sophisticated institutional clients. The advisor acts as the primary relationship owner and trusted advisor throughout the client lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Identify, approach, and engage institutional investors to grow the client base. • Build and manage long-term relationships with institutional clients, becoming a strategic partner and trusted advisor.

Understand the unique investment policies, mandates, and constraints of each client and develop corresponding investment proposals.

Drive business development efforts through targeted outreach, roadshows, conferences, and direct prospecting.

Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify cross-sell opportunities and increase share of wallet.

Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and convert leads into long-term client relationships.

Act as a subject-matter expert on the firm’s product offerings, including but not limited to active and passive equity, fixed income, alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity, real estate), and customized multi-asset strategies.

Translate client needs into bespoke investment strategies in collaboration with internal investment teams.

Provide clients with regular investment reviews and performance analysis aligned with their objectives and risk appetite.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Research Analysts, Operations, Compliance, and Client Service teams to ensure seamless client experience.

Work with Marketing and Product teams to create tailored pitch materials, RFP responses, and thought leadership content.

Deliver timely and insightful reporting and communication to clients regarding portfolio performance, market outlooks, strategy updates, and regulatory developments.

Prepare and present investment committee materials, portfolio reviews, and ad-hoc client requests.

Stay abreast of regulatory, economic, and market developments affecting institutional investors.

Represent the firm at key industry events, forums, and client functions, enhancing visibility and credibility in the market.

Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.

Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Minimum Required Experience

A minimum 3–5 years of experience in asset management, institutional sales, or wealth advisory.

Demonstrated success in acquiring and retaining institutional clients with a strong track record of meeting AUM and revenue targets.

Deep understanding of institutional investment processes, mandates, and governance structures.
Minimum Required Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.

CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

This job falls under the regulatory oversight of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA) and the attainment of the requisite accreditation is required.
