🔧 Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer – Egypt

ACWA Power is a global leader in power generation and water desalination , delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across more than 12 countries. In Egypt, our cluster operations are expanding, and we are looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our Engineering team.

This role is vital in ensuring the long-term reliability, safety, and performance of our I&C systems across CCGT, RO, and renewable energy plants. You’ll work at the heart of operations – supporting design, troubleshooting, outage planning, and driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead I&C engineering activities from an O&M perspective, covering design, modifications, and installations.
• Develop technical specifications, feasibility studies, and support bid/evaluation processes.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance, outage management, and troubleshooting of critical systems.
• Drive reliability improvements through root cause analysis and condition-based maintenance practices.
• Work closely with EPCs, OEMs, and contractors to ensure compliance with standards and safe execution.
• Maintain engineering documentation and ensure effective use of SAP/CMMS systems.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 7–10 years’ experience in I&C engineering within power generation/utilities.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS (SAP preferred), predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience across CCGT, conventional power, RO plants, or renewables.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
