Intake attorney

Overview
AV rated, prestigious mid-sized, multi-practice firm in Southwest Ohio with significant personal injury and medical malpractice groups seeks full-time, dedicated, intake attorney to be the first point of contact with all potential personal injury and medical malpractice clients.

What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis to support case strategies and client needs.
• Communicate with potential clients via phone, email, and in-person.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
• Data entry into Litify and provide legal support for other members of the intake team.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting practice areas such as landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, and securities law.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance case strategies and share insights on complex legal issues.

Basic qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in multiple areas of law.
• Proven ability to conduct detailed legal research and analysis.
• Strong writing skills with a focus on legal drafting and documentation.
• Previous experience working in a law office environment or similar setting.
