Identifies and corrects various interface demographic errors between the DA Case Management Software (Protect), Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Program (CCAP), Law Enforcement Software (GERP, Pro Phoenix and TraCS).
Establishes and maintains effective working relations with various State and County agencies.
Intake Specialist must have the ability to define problems and must evaluate and process data in a timely manner facilitating case initiation, file preparation and file maintenance.
Makes accurate, expeditious, independent decisions regarding routine processing and scheduling or work activities as there are constant interruptions throughout the workday and priorities change rapidly.
Maintains a high level of self-direction, motivation, good organizational skills, and written and oral communication.
Analyzes and interprets information from various reports on the DA Case Management Software (Protect) to ensure reporting compliance to other agencies.
Handles the arrangements of confidential legal documents under time constraints.
Answers inquiries from other agencies of a general and specialized non-restricted nature or refers inquiries to proper agency or staff person.
Updates information on DA Case Management Software (Protect).
Monitors cases for possible next step functions.
Provides answers to inquiries regarding service and functions of the District Attorney's Office.
Reproduces multiple copies of work.
Prepares case records and files.
Prepares letters and processes auto generated documents from Protect.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, plus two years office experience in District Attorney Office; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of general office skills, practices, procedures and equipment.
Knowledge of legal terminology.
Knowledge of data processing, data entry, and word processing.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software.
Skilled in strong organizational techniques and practices.
Skilled in telecommunication techniques and practices.
Ability to make independent decisions and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform full data entry functions at a rate of 80 net keystrokes per minute.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work the required hours of the position.
