This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per (Tuesday and Wednesday) in-person each week. Office is located in downtown Chicago, IL in the Streeterville/Mag Mile area.

JOB SUMMARY

The Integrated Marketing Lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution of integrated marketing efforts that support AOIA - the innovation arm of the AOA and its portfolio of programs, products, and services, while embedded within the marketing and communications in-house agency team. This strategic and hands-on role develops and implements data-informed marketing strategies, leads content creation strategy, manages digital campaigns, and oversees analytics and reporting across multiple platforms. Working closely with program leads and other internal teams, the Integrated Marketing Lead is both an autonomous and collaborative full-funnel marketer who ensures marketing deliverables are aligned with the AOIA and AOA Strategic Plans and annual work plan metrics, with a focus on measurable results and high-quality execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Marketing Planning
    • Develop and implement marketing plans for AOIA programs and services, grounded in KPIs and organizational priorities.
    • Collaborate with program owners and marketing and communications department colleagues to align messaging, timelines, performance benchmarks and self-service models across initiatives.
  • Digital & Email Marketing
    • Manage and execute email marketing campaigns using automation tools, segmentation, and performance optimization.
    • Lead organic and paid digital marketing strategies across channels such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, and social platforms, ensuring alignment with program goals and ROI expectations.
  • Content Strategy Development
    • Create and manage compelling marketing content strategies and action plans tailored for various formats including web, social media, email, and collateral.
    • Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, tone consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Website Management
    • Maintain and update AOIA’s existing website with fresh, relevant, and user-focused content.
    • Collaborate with external developers (as needed) to support user experience, SEO optimization, and accessibility standards and support internal users in a self-service best practices model.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Track, analyze, and report on campaign and channel performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email metrics.
    • Provide actionable insights and regular reporting dashboards to inform continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Coordination
    • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, to ensure marketing strategies support broader organizational objectives.
    • Serve as a marketing advisor lead for key initiatives.

Qualifications:

Mandatory

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in go-to-market marketing, communications, or digital strategy with proven success managing multi-channel campaigns.
  • Proven skill set in end-to-end project leadership and management of an integrated team.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate matrixed resources to plan, execute, and measure marketing efforts using defined KPIs and analytics tools.
  • Strong content development skills, including writing web, email, and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in WordPress/Square Space (web platforms), Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, email marketing platforms, CRM tools and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility and SEO best practices in digital communications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare or nonprofit marketing.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a start-up mentality.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or HubSpot platform.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but requires occasional standing, walking, lifting and moving objects (up to 25 pounds). Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals. May have occasionally work prolonged or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Mental Demands

Work is performed in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Candidate is expected to be able to quickly adapt to stressful situations, exercise good judgement, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.

Office Environment

This is a hybrid position.

Travel
Overnight travel is expected approximately 4-6 times a year for professional development, strategic planning and various attendance at industry programs.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 Annually
