Integration Engineer II

Lead the deployment and orchestration of applications on client infrastructure, specializing in On-Premise and Air-Gapped environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Regularly visit client premises to lead deployment workshops, perform installations, and resolve critical site-specific technical issues.
Design and develop complex integration flows to connect Synapse products with external legacy systems, proprietary databases, and third-party enterprise software.
Consult clients on ideal infrastructure requirements, network security configurations, and data integration strategies.
Troubleshoot complex networking issues (Firewalls, VPNs, Proxies, Load Balancers) within restricted client environments.
Collaborate closely with data scientists to ensure models are packaged and exposed correctly via robust APIs.
Implement strong security protocols (SSL/TLS, Encryption, Authentication) to meet strict client compliance standards.
Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior integration engineers regarding deployment best practices.
Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical production environments and promptly resolve urgent client-facing integration and deployment issues.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2-4 years of experience in Systems Integration, DevOps, or Backend Development.
Strong proficiency in Python and experience building APIs (Django/FastAPI).
Strong experience with Docker and Orchestration tools like Kubernetes (experience with on-prem distros like RKE2/OpenShift is a plus).
Strong understanding of Networking (Firewalls, Load Balancing, VPNs) and ability to troubleshoot connectivity in restrictive enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system, including shell scripting and system configuration.
Proven experience integrating with external systems (e.g., ERPs, SOAP/REST APIs, Oracle/SQL Server databases).
Strong knowledge of Security concepts (Network Security, Certificate management, Cryptography).
Willingness and ability to visit client sites and lead on-site technical engagements.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving ambiguous integration problems under pressure.
Excellent communication skills with experience consulting external clients on technical problems.
