INTERACTION DESIGNER

Compensation Range: $50 - 60 per hour

We are looking for an ambitious Interaction Designer to join our brand-new DCE Finance team and help revolutionize how the Customer & Community Banking (CCB) Finance organization uses data!

Your primary mission will be to enable smarter, faster decision-making on critical topics such as headcount, expenses, forecasting, planning, and month-end financial reporting. You'll design solutions for a high-profile audience, including Chief Financial Officers, Controllers, and Planning & Analysis teams.

This role is a perfect match for individuals passionate about the intersection of finance, user research, UX strategy, and service design. You will collaborate with experienced UX Leads, Researchers, and Product Owners to deliver cutting-edge solutions that incorporate emerging technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and ChatGPT. Responsibilities:

• Create sketches, mockups, and interactive prototypes under the guidance of the UX Lead and Product Owner to model multi-step workflows.
• Participate in user interviews and workshops; translate findings into visuals and design concepts.
• Prepare detailed design specifications for handoff to Tech teams.
• Actively participate in scrum calls and Agile processes.
• Develop artifacts including user journeys, service blueprints, and presentations.
• Collaborate with software vendors to configure and guide customizations.
• Provide timely, articulate updates on project progress.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling.
• Demonstrated interaction design skills.
• Ability to quickly translate workshop materials into shareable artifacts.
• Strong grasp of visual design principles (balance, typography, layout).
• Creative problem-solving skills, especially with vendor application constraints.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Flexibility to pivot when project priorities shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Financial services experience.
• Experience designing for mobile and/or tablet platforms.
• Familiarity with design systems.
• Passion for data visualization and understanding of search patterns/behaviors.
• Experience with complex prototyping.
• Skills in animation and video design.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Agile methodology, and JIRA.
• Interest in emerging technologies.
