Job Description

An Interface Manager coordinates communication and resolves issues between various stakeholders to ensure a project's seamless integration and execution. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing interface management plans, identifying and documenting all interface points, facilitating meetings, collaborating with teams, and managing risks, communication, and deliverables across different disciplines and external parties. This role is crucial for keeping projects on track by managing technical and contractual requirements and ensuring alignment between all parties involved.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans:
    Create and execute interface management plans, procedures, and coordination protocols.
Identify and document interfaces:
Find, document, and manage all points of interaction between different disciplines, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate coordination:
Lead and attend meetings and workshops to address interface issues and resolve conflicts.
Manage risks:
Identify, assess, and mitigate interface-related risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
Ensure communication flow:
Act as a primary point of contact for interface inquiries and ensure timely and accurate information exchange between all parties.
Manage deliverables:
Monitor and report on interface performance metrics and ensure that all interface-related deliverables are met and documented.
Collaborate with teams:
Work closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and other project teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment.

Skills

  • Proven experience in interface or stakeholder management on large-scale or mega-projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, from design to construction to commissioning.
  • Ability to manage complex meetings and present information clearly.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and systems, including document control.
