Interior Design Assistant + Project Coordinator

Select Design Center is a full-service interior design studio and showroom based in Palm City, Florida. We specialize in residential renovations including kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home transformations, offering a curated, hands-on design experience for our clients.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant with drawing and drafting capabilities to support our growing team.

Position Overview

This is a hybrid role combining design support, basic drafting, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is both creative and technical—someone who can assist with design concepts while also producing accurate drawings and keeping projects organized behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing materials (tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furnishings)
• Create mood boards, sample boards, and client presentations
• Produce 2D drawings and elevations (bathrooms, kitchens, feature walls, cabinetry details)
• Assist with space planning and furniture layouts
• Support proposal creation and order management using Houzz Pro
• Track orders, lead times, and deliveries
• Communicate with vendors and follow up on orders/issues
• Maintain project specifications, selections, and documentation
• Help prepare showroom presentations and organize materials
• Assist with installation days as needed

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• 3D renderings (SketchUp, Enscape, or similar)
• Assist with social media content (Instagram posts, reels, project documentation)
• Basic editing using Canva or Adobe Express

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in interior design or related field
• Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar
• Ability to produce clear, accurate floor plans and elevations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience with Houzz Pro or QuickBooks Online is a plus
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset

Compensation & Details

• $24–$30 per hour, based on experience and drafting ability
• Part-time or full-time opportunity
