Interior Design Associate | Kamber Mason Design (KMD)

Kamber Mason Design is a boutique interior design studio focused on creating thoughtful, elevated residential spaces. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our growing team in San Rafael.

This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the studio evolves.

This role is integral to the daily rhythm of the studio, supporting two designers across both creative and operational tasks. We are a small, collaborative team and are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, and enjoys being part of a design-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the design team, including calendar coordination, scheduling, and email organization
• Assist with procurement, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and managing vendor communications
• Maintain organization of the materials library and sample inventory
• Support general studio organization, supplies management, and day-to-day upkeep
• Coordinate deliveries, returns, and pickups with vendors and workrooms
• Assist with occasional site visits, including measuring and delivery support
• Support light bookkeeping tasks, including expense tracking and invoice organization

Ideal Candidate

• Have experience working in interior design and are familiar with the creative process
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with ease
• Clear, professional communicator with a calm and positive presence
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative
• Proficient with basic office and digital tools (Google Workspace, etc.)
• Local to Marin County with reliable transportation

Additional Qualifications (a plus)

• Experience with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Experience with interior design or project management software
• Marketing or social media experience

Pay: $25.00 per hour
