Interior Design Intern

We are a full service Residential Interior Design Firm working with clients in Long Island and the New York City Metropolitan area. Looking for an Interior Design Intern to assist and support the design team. You will undertake a variety of different aspects of the design process. Our goal is to design spaces for our clients that cater to their design needs, while creating practical and visually pleasing designs.

This is an in-person position and being able to reliably commute to Port Washington, NY is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multiple aspects of the design project from concept to completion
• Follow up on orders and deliveries
• Request quotes
• Research & source materials and fabrics
• Retrieve and return samples
• Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors
• Flexible hours

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will be an Interior Design Student
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other design programs
• Social media skills
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Comfortable going to showrooms
• Open to learning the business
• School credit if needed

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $17.00 per hour
