Interior Design Intern

Studio Piccolo is on the hunt for a Part-Time Interior Design Intern to team up with the Principal on all things residential interiors. You must be NYC-based and able to travel to our Carroll Gardens home office. This position is perfect for someone who loves flexing both their creative muscles and their logistical superpowers and doesn’t mind wearing a few hats at once. Must be comfortable interfacing with clients, and doing site visits with and without the Principal. Opportunity for growth and full-time position for the right fit.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

• Act as the Principal’s right hand: managing to-do lists, scheduling, running errands, updating project databases, sourcing the impossible-to-find item, and generally keeping the day on track.
• Be my design partner! Help with sourcing for all projects.
• Handle customer service problems with existing orders.
• Modify and Create AutoCAD and SketchUp documents.
• Assist during installations and site visits.
• Keep the materials library, project files, and home office systems beautifully organized.
• Communicate with vendors and clients in a polished, professional way.
• Help assemble client presentations and proposals.
• Site visits to manage ongoing construction projects.

Compensation

Paid Internship. $20/hr.

18-20 hrs. a week, or as needed.
