Interior Designer

Interior Designer :

We are a furniture manufacturing company looking for a highly creative and artistic interior designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and knowledge in design applications and software. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing sketches to demonstrate designs to clients to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

· Site visits with the company team.

· Meeting with clients to determine the initial requirements.

· Creating concept design.

· Preparing bill of quantity (BOQ) after concept approval.

· Consulting with clients to select materials.

· Ordering samples and creating mood boards.

· Arrange to get the exact measurement from the site before starting the detailed drawing.

· Checking the drawings and making modifications if required by the client.

· Meeting with the client to get approval on drawings and the mood board.

· Send approved drawings and samples to the factory.

· Using design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.

· Weekly factory visit if required to follow up on the project production status.

· To do market research to get the latest and updated materials available in the market and update our library.

· To ensure that materials are available in the library all the time.

· Flexibility to communicate with clients through WhatsApp after duty time in case of any work clarifications.

· Flexibility in several changes in the concept design from the client or head of design.

Skills

· Strong visual design skills.

· Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and other design programs

· Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations

· Knowledge of furniture materials, such as wood finishes, marbles, glass, mirrors, fabrics, wallpaper, and carpets.

· Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces.

· Excellent portfolio of previous works.

· Knowledge of art movements and styles.

· Ability to work on parallel projects and under pressure.

· Skills in mixing different furniture style concepts, materials, and textures to create an eclectic look.

· Expert in combining different fabrics, textures, and materials such as wood, marble, steel, glass, etc.

· Expert in furniture layout and interior zoning and spacing.

· Knowledge of loose furniture and fixed furniture details drawing.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in design or any relevant degree.

· 1-2 years of experience in furniture and fit-out.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
