About the Role

Hoskinson Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and intuitive Interior Designer to work closely with the company owner on a wide range of internal design projects across both company-owned and personally held properties. This is a unique opportunity to shape and execute a creative vision in both professional and private spaces while operating within a dynamic and forward-thinking construction and development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the owner to interpret, refine, and execute a creative vision for interior spaces.

  • Lead and manage the design of interiors for office spaces, company buildings, and private entities.

  • Translate client (owner’s) needs, desires, and functional goals into visually compelling and practical design concepts.

  • Source materials, furnishings, and finishes appropriate to each project’s budget and aesthetic.

  • Develop and present design boards, color palettes, mood boards, and spatial layouts for approval.

  • Coordinate with construction, architectural, and subcontracting teams to ensure successful project implementation.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of design trends, sustainability practices, and innovative materials.

  • Create and manage project timelines, budget forecasts, and procurement schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience working in commercial, residential, or mixed-use interior design.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating range and creativity.

  • Exceptional ability to listen, absorb feedback, and transform input into actionable design plans.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

  • Comfortable working on a highly personalized, sometimes confidential scope of work.

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience in working with executive-level stakeholders or business owners.

  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and design certifications (e.g., LEED).

  • Understanding of construction processes and timelines.
