Position Summary

The Interior Designer plays a key role in helping customers transform their homes. You’ll meet with clients in our showroom and in their homes, providing expert design guidance, layout planning, and curated furniture recommendations that align with their lifestyle, budget, and style preferences.

You’ll partner closely with the sales team to ensure each client enjoys a seamless, inspiring experience—from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home and in-store design consultations to assess customer needs and space requirements.
• Create room layouts, mood boards, and design proposals using La-Z-Boy’s product line.
• Recommend furniture, fabrics, and accessories that align with client goals and budgets.
• Collaborate with sales associates to ensure smooth client handoffs and maximize close rates.
• Follow up with customers through design presentations, email, and phone communication.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of La-Z-Boy products, current promotions, and design trends.
• Participate in showroom displays and maintain a visually inspiring presentation space.
• Meet or exceed sales and satisfaction goals through design excellence and follow-through.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in residential or retail design strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with basic design tools or software (Room Planner, Canva, etc. a plus).
• Weekend availability required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
