Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Interior Designer to join our architectural and interior design team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and executing interior design concepts across a variety of project types, including residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional spaces. This role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers, and clients to deliver functional and aesthetically compelling interior environments that meet the highest standards of design excellence.

Key Responsibilities:.

1. Conceptualization & Design Development

• Collaborate with architects and project stakeholders to create cohesive interior design concepts.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, 3D renderings, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and teams to refine and evolve design solutions in line with project goals.

2. Space Planning & Layout

• Apply spatial planning principles to optimize interior layouts for functionality, flow, and user experience.
• Create detailed floor plans, furniture layouts, and circulation diagrams with attention to accessibility and zoning compliance.

3. Material & Finish Selection

• Research and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and lighting fixtures that align with the design intent and budget.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source quality materials and evaluate samples for visual and tactile suitability.

4. Construction Documentation

• Prepare detailed interior construction drawings, specifications, and schedules for tender and construction phases.
• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to integrate interior elements with architectural systems and ensure code compliance.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with design and construction requirements.

5. Project Coordination & Communication

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, consultants, and project teams throughout all project phases.
• Participate in site visits, design presentations, and coordination meetings to address issues and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Foster collaborative relationships with all project stakeholders.

6. Quality Assurance & Design Excellence

• Uphold high standards of design, detailing, and execution across all deliverables.
• Review and critique design outputs to ensure adherence to project objectives, budget, and aesthetic goals.
• Identify opportunities for sustainability, innovation, and value engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in an architectural or design consultancy setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Creative thinker with a strong attention to detail and a passion for design innovation.
• Proven experience in interior space planning, renovations, new constructions, and client consultations.
