Interior Designer

SCI, an American based manufacturing company that specializes in providing high performance furniture to the restaurant, educational, hospitality, healthcare, corporate and gambling industries is hiring an Interior Designer. This position is primarily responsible for designing interior spaces and selecting the furniture, fixtures and equipment for these spaces. This position is also responsible for maintaining SCI Brand Standards, Client Brand Standards, and relationships between clients, SCI, and third-party partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, design development, and space planning
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
• Develop FF&E packages, including the specification of materials, fixtures and furniture, coordinating with dealers and manufacturers to meet client and project goals
• Generate décor plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
• Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
• Produce graphic presentations, including 3D mock-ups, for client meetings
• Contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, details and specifications
• Collaborate and work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, vendors, and fabricators to achieve project objectives
• Assist in team and client communication
• Contribute to our office and firm culture, growth, and development
• Travel when required for client meetings, presentations, tradeshows, or site visits
• Personal Time Management from a centralized schedule of projects
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from a CIDA accredited program.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.
• Experience in Revit preferred; a willingness to be trained in Enscape is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
