We are currently seeking a highly efficient, motivated and organized INTERIOR DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer located in Hartford County. The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning layouts, creating construction drawings, selecting and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and collaborating with subs and contractors. Day-to-day tasks will include floor planning, developing design presentations, managing project scopes, schedules, budgets. In addition the Designer must have solid knowledge and experience in order quoting, procurement and tracking. Heavy client interfacing as well.
The Interior Designer will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, delivering exceptional design solutions.
Qualifications
Proficiency and Passion for Interior Design, Space Planning and Project Management. Someone who wants to come into the room and lead a project and the team from start to finish. Must be independtly driven and an excellent communicator/problem solver.
3-5 years experience working for an established interior design studio is a must.
Creation of Construction Drawings
3-5 years experience in of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)
Excellent project management and client communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field is required
Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) is required
Positive, creative and a drive to succeed and surpass expectations
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with clients and team members to develop creative, functional design concepts
Produce design presentations, material selections, and detailed drawings
Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
Source products, finishes, and furnishings that align with project goals. Must have experience in quoting, procurement and order tracking.
Maintain strong client relationships and deliver outstanding customer service
What We’re Looking For:
3-5 years of professional interior design experience
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects (required with application)
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is required.
Excellent communication and project management skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
