Interior Designer

We are seeking an Interior Designer with 3-5+ years of experience at a high end residential interior design firm.

We are a boutique interior design firm based in Midtown NYC. The role is ideal for someone wanting to be involved in all phases of the design process from concept to installation. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and an ability to successfully work on multiple projects at once.

Work with the Principal to develop schematic designs.
Prepare client presentations.
Prepare meticulous hardware, plumbing, lighting and paint schedules
Have broad knowledge of trade resources.
Communicate with clients clearly and professionally.
Correspond with vendors regularly regarding pricing, product details, and orders.
Draft floorplans, furniture plans, elevations, and electrical plans using AutoCAD
Ability to use Photoshop, SketchUp or similar.
Create client proposals and detailed vendor purchase orders using Design Manager.
Create drawings for custom furniture.
Oversee shipping, storage, delivery, installation of items and site visits
Prepare and update Project Design Decks throughout the project.
Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and vendors, record decisions and take initiative on follow up.
Assist in site visits to oversee project progress.
Act as on-site contact and supervise vendors during deliveries and installation.

We are looking for a team player who is willing to wear many hats in a bustling boutique firm. This person must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, discretion, and excellent attention to detail.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Sketch-up Pro. Design Manager experience preferred. Ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced, creative environment.

Associate’s degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture required.Positive attitude, curiosity, resourcefulness — and a passion for design.

This is a full time position based in NYC. Some flexibility on work schedule possible. Some travel to project sites will be required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
