Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Interior Designer with proven experience in commercial and residential fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing concept designs, detailed drawings, and client presentations, while coordinating closely with project, procurement, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

This role requires both design creativity and technical execution capability within a fast-paced design & build environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept Design & Client Engagement

• Meet clients to understand project requirements, brand identity, and functional needs
• Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, and space planning layouts
• Prepare client presentations including 2D drawings, 3D renders, and material boards
• Revise designs based on client feedback until approval

2. Technical Design & Documentation

• Produce detailed shop drawings and IFC drawings (Issued for Construction)
• Prepare space planning layouts, ceiling plans, MEP coordination drawings
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations (Saudi codes, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Coordinate with engineers and consultants to finalize technical details

3. 3D Visualization & Presentation

• Create high-quality 3D renders and walkthroughs
• Develop visual storytelling presentations to support sales and client approvals
• Ensure designs align with project budgets and timelines

4. Material Selection & Specifications

• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures
• Prepare material submittals and sample boards
• Work closely with procurement to ensure cost-effective sourcing

5. Coordination & Site Support

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement Team
• Conduct site visits to ensure design execution matches approved drawings
• Assist in resolving site-related design issues and modifications

6. Tender & BOQ Support

• Assist in preparing design-based BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
• Support estimation and proposal teams during tender submissions
• Ensure designs are aligned with project budgets and profitability targets

Requirements:

Experience

• 3–6+ years of experience in interior design for fit-out projects
• Strong experience in commercial spaces (offices, retail, F&B) preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficient in:
• AutoCAD
• 3ds Max / SketchUp
• V-Ray / Lumion / Enscape
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of:
• Shop drawings & construction detailing
• Material specifications and finishes
• MEP coordination basics

Soft Skills

• Strong presentation and client-facing skills
• High level of creativity with practical execution mindset
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia / GCC market
• Knowledge of authority approvals (Balady, Civil Defense, etc.)
